Rae Moen

Rachel is a multimedia artist. As a teenager she worked in a number of pottery studios. After an horrific car accident at the age of 17, Rachel stopped working in a ceramics studio. Instead, Rachel turned to figure drawing. As she became more aware of the body as political, her work became more conceptual and experiential. Now, Rachel is a K-5 art teacher that explores every medium with her students: dance, video editing, fiber arts, animation, stop motion, drawing, watercolor, digital art and ceramics. Even though Rachel uses a variety of mediums, she always seeks to tell a story. Recently, Rae’s work has been a way for her to connect and learn about herself and her own story.
