Timothea Biermann (born Dayton, OH 1974) studied extensively at numerous renowned art schools including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Parsons School of Design, Anderson Ranch Art Center and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. In 1995, Biermann graduated with honors from Maine College of Art and holds a BFA in ceramics. She also earned an MA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. An educator for 23 years, Biermann currently teaches Painting & Drawing at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado. She is a resident artist at Blue Tile Gallery & Art Space and resides in Englewood with her 2 black cats, Eve & Gregor.
