
Lucy Love Riley is an interdisciplinary artist from Denver, Colorado with a specific interest in wearables. They are currently pursuing a BFA with an emphasis in Jewelry + Metals and complementary in Printmaking from Metropolitan State University of Denver. They also completed a summer intensive at Massachusetts College of Art and Design with an emphasis in fashion. Their work explores patterns and functions in nature in order to achieve sustainable and accessible wearable arts.
Lucy has been involved in the Center for Visual Arts Art + Action lab fashion show. The lab focused on giving young artists a space to make connections with established artists in the field while producing a piece of wearable art. This is where they were able to explore using recycled and organic materials to make long-lasting clothing.
Lucy is currently partaking in MSU Denver’s Gender Institute for Teaching and Advocacy “Blurred Lines” Lab. This lab explores wearable fashion through a queer lens, establishing the important of queer identities and providing queer voices an opportunity to create and showcase their work.
